I started making jerk lines for calf ropers 3 years ago for the High School Finals Rodeo contestants. Since then the feedback has been very good, in fact, at least a dozen say they are getting better times using my jerkline. I wasn't sure why at first, but it seems to be that this rope is very alive and it cues the horse better than other lines, so he responds faster. When I looked at what the competition was selling, most of it is either nylon or cotton and it's like they didn't even try to make a quality product - they just burn their rope to length, and those ropes may last a year. Other jerk lines are cheap cotton and nylon but are priced at a premium. My rope is professional marine grade rope, and I price it fairly for the cost of the rope and labor making it. My jerk lines are high quality, put together by someone who knows ropes. The ends will not unravel. They come in 1/2" or 3/8", at 16', 18' or 20' length. They are currently priced at a discount to promote these ropes - price will increase in the future.
